Last week, we had the honour of being the chosen charity at this year’s Best of British London event.
Hosted at the stunning Waldorf Hotel, the event brought together more than 150 business leaders, sports enthusiasts, and generous supporters for an inspiring gathering that raised more than £9,000 to support our work to improve social health and tackle loneliness and isolation in Brighton and Hove.
The event was not only a fundraiser for us, but a celebration of connection and community, values that are important to us and that are shared by our long-time friends at Best of British Events.
A Powerful Partnership
Best of British Events has supported Together Co for several years, helping us to raise vital funds and spreading our message and mission through everything they do.
From sponsoring our Autumn Gala and Spring Tea at The Grand, to helping us launch our Connection by Letter project, which was featured on The One Show, and becoming a founding member of Together Co’s 25 Club, pledging to raise at least £2,500 during out 25th anniversary year, their support has made a lasting impact.
“
He also took time to reflect on the importance of the work we do at Together Co, acknowledging how vital connection is, not just in sport, but in life.
An Afternoon to Remember
April Baker, CEO of Together Co, said: “Together Co exists because we believe everyone should feel like they belong.
“Events like these are a powerful reminder of what is possible when people come together for a shared purpose.
“We are incredibly grateful to Best of British Events and every person in that room who chose to stand with us.”
The Power of Giving
These funds will go directly to helping us connect people experiencing loneliness and isolation with vital services, volunteers, and opportunities for friendship and connection.
Best of British Events consistent and meaningful support for Together Co has enabled us to grow projects, reach more people, and tell our story to new audiences.
April added: “To Ryan Heal and the whole Best of British team, thank you. Your belief in our mission, your commitment to building community, and your unwavering support has meant the world to us.
“To our fellow 25 Club members – Lawton and Dawe Properties, Brighton Palace Pier, Placr Recruitment, to our ambassador Gail Porter, to Scott Quinnell, and to all who joined us on the day, thank you for sharing in our journey.”
