Chief Executive Officer

Lead Together Co and be part of a brilliant organisation taking action to end loneliness and social isolation in Brighton and Hove

Together Co is seeking a new Chief Executive to deliver our vision of ensuring that in our city of nearly 300,000, no one should be lonely or socially isolated.

This is an exciting time for Together Co as we build on the brilliant work of our team, and exceptional leadership of our outgoing CEO, to maintain the momentum achieved through COVID-19 when the charity met a near 800% increase in demand for services. The new CEO joins as we unveil our new three-year strategy, ‘Our Future, Together’, that has been developed in collaboration with the team, Board of Trustees and volunteers to set out how we will deliver on our ambition for the future.

The new CEO will be supported by an exceptional leadership team and work closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees. It is an opportunity for someone who wants to make a lasting difference and is open to working innovatively and collaboratively to meet the challenges ahead. This includes seeing opportunity in changing policy and financial frameworks, while helping the organisation evolve to meet our users’ future needs, including ensuring Together Co is representative of the communities we serve.

Together Co is one of the most high profile Brighton and Hove charities with a second to none reputation for innovation and high standards of service. All we do is possible through the phenomenal support we have from our volunteers with more than 500 giving their time each week to our befriending service – the largest network in the UK.

We want to hear from those who share our values of compassion, collaboration, empowerment, learning and effectiveness. Ideally, candidates would also bring significant experience of leadership, planning and financial management skills and excellent communication and presentation skills. A charity background is not essential but our ideal candidate would understand how to influence key stakeholders and policy makers as well as of how to work collaboratively with partners to achieve social impact.
