Together Co (formerly known as Brighton and Hove Impetus) is Brighton and Hove’s leading loneliness charity, working to create connections that change lives for the better across the city. We run Social Prescribing and Befriending services that support more than 1500 people a year and have 400+ volunteers working alongside our staff team. In a city of 300,000 people no one should be lonely or socially isolated. Together, we can make sure no one is.

A person centred, collaborative and compassionate approach is at the heart of what we do and we are looking for someone with the right skills and attitude to take our social prescribing operations to the next level during a time of change.

This is a crucial time for social prescribing, which is now high on the government agenda. As well as some of the more forward thinking CCGs investing in services like ours, NHS England have further invested in funding a Link Worker in every Primary Care Network (PCN) across the country. For Brighton and Hove, that will mean at least 7 new Link Workers arriving in the coming months.

Our aim is to continue operating citywide, whilst also hosting PCNs Link Workers to ensure they have access to the same quality training, support and expertise that we have become known for.

Meanwhile, we continue to develop the citywide service, learn from our years of experience and improve our operations as we grow.

This is a rare opportunity to join the management team of an organisation that is moving from strength to strength. A recent rebrand had not only given us a fresh new look, but has also helped us rationalise our aims, align our services and further exemplify our values.

Reporting to the Head of Social Prescribing (who oversees strategy, development, engagement and budget), you will line manage a team of 5 Link Work staff, liaise with primary care, recruit and train staff and volunteers and ensure the service demonstrates exemplary practice that meets service users’ needs. An experienced and proactive team leader, you will have a compassionate and collaborative approach alongside an ability to set clear targets and ensure the team effectively achieves its goals.

We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experience.
