Leading social health expert Kasley Killam has become our newest Together Co ambassador.

Kasley is a Harvard-trained social scientist, award-winning innovator, and leading expert in social health: the dimension of wellbeing that stems from relationships.

After more than a decade of studying, sharing, and applying the science of human connection, Kasley champions social health as a strategic advisor, keynote speaker, and founder of Social Health Labs, a national non-profit that empowers community builders.

She is also the author of The Art and Science of Connection: Why Social Health is the Missing Key to Living Longer, Healthier, and Happier, which will be published in June 2024 with HarperOne, an imprint of HarperCollins.

Expertise

Kasley partners with teams across sectors as an advisor and speaker, to improve wellbeing through connection and community, collaborating with organisations like Google, AARP, and the US Government.

April Baker, Together Co CEO, said: “Kasley is an expert in her field and it is a privilege that she has chosen to collaborate with us.

“Social health is often overlooked but it is just as important as our physical and mental health.

“Kasley’s research and insight into social health is hugely beneficial and we can learn a great deal from her work. We are so proud to call her one of our ambassadors.”

“I am passionate about translating the research on relationships so people can live more socially healthy lives.

Kasley earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at the Harvard School of Public Health specialising in solutions for loneliness and a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Queen’s University in Canada.

Her background spans technology, healthcare, academia, and social entrepreneurship, equipping her with unique insight when collaborating with partners.

Kasley’s work includes a national community engagement strategy for Verily (Google Life Sciences), conducted research on positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, and launching a campaign and app to promote empathy and kindness that won an award at Stanford University.

She said: “I am passionate about translating the research on relationships so people can live more socially healthy lives.
