We were delighted to see Together Co Befriending featured on ITV News last week.

As part of a feature on kindness, the ITV’s news reporter Derek Johnson met befriending volunteer Gigi, who is matched with Together Co member Josephine.

Before the current lockdown, the two had been walking together most days since Gigi joined Together Co earlier this year.

Gigi told ITV: 

“

It’s really good for both of us, and I’ve learned a lot about Josephine, and I think it’s been really nice for her to have someone to come and talk to, because she does live alone. I thought it would be really nice to get together with someone else who was feeling lonely and together we could cheer each other up.
